HerLine HQ (HLHQ) is a freelance Qualified hair extension specialist, mobile and session hairstylist based in Liverpool. HLHQ specialises in hair extensions (tapes, links and weave), Bridal hair, hair-pieces, wigs and braiding.
HLHQ was birthed on the streets of Toxteth after growing increasingly frustrated with the lack of black hairdressers that were able to style hair without causing pain or discomfort. This opened up a way and HLHQ began learning the art of black hair care and pride ourselves in pain-free hair styling.
HLHQ has over 10 years’ experience in Afro-Caribbean hairstyling. HLHQ is skilled in all hair types but mainly caters for Afro-Caribbean hair.
HLHQ has experience working as a session stylist for various artists and photographers. We can assist with creative direction on hair and create hair structures that defy gravity for your shoot.

HAIRLOSS:
At HLHQ, we know all too well how it feels to struggle with hairloss and feeling scared to be judged because of it. This is a safe space for all to feel welcome, regardless of hair type or condition. Sit in our chair and know that you are in good hands. We want everyone to feel beautiful and leave with the HerLine that they’ve always dreamed of.
MENTORING:
At HLHQ, we noticed a gap in the learning market. There weren’t many places, if any, that taught black and BAME people how to care and style their hair. We took this as an opportunity to begin mentoring the youth in hairdressing. From basic braiding to lace wigs, also opening up the doors for non-black mothers to learn to care for their black child’s hair.
